After a busy day in the academy, Tamotsu was glad to finally have the chance to relax for a bit, hands in his pockets as he made his way out of the building and to the outside world. Or rather what he could enjoy of it anyway. So it was off to the grounds for a bit for a nice walk to clear his head. He was too old for all of this! Sure he had no idea how old he was but he knew he was old enough he shouldn't have to go to some stupid academy to train to be a butler no doubt. But what could he do? He had to get through this as if he were just one of the students. And though he claimed to have advanced knowledge, he was further behind the rest than he should be. He just claimed he was letting the other's have a chance. It made the fact that he wasn't as ready for this challenge as he thought was that much more irritating. He groaned at the thought, finally making it outside and walking down the path.
It seemed rather deserted. Shouldn't surprise him much though. Most of these people that went here were stuck up and didn't really have the time to go out for a simple walk. Didn't bother him though. Just made him more comfortable. With that in mind, his tail pulled out of the confines of his shirt, wagging slightly as he tried to loosen it up a bit. He hadn't let many people catch on that he was a demon just yet. He liked being under the radar and seemingly worthless to the masters and mistresses in order for them to leave him alone. Of course a few did notice. Wasn't too hard if you got a good look at him. He had pointed ears and sharp teeth as well as the odd tuft tail that he tried to keep hidden most of the time. People for some odd reason always wanted to grab it and test it to see if it was real. It was real and very uncomfortable when tugged on so for the sake of avoiding any unnecessary pain, he'd keep it out of sight. But there were times like this he just had to stretch it out a bit. Besides, there didn't seem to be anyone around to witness it. And just to help avoid attention, he decided to stop for a bit to relax.
The demon soon found a shaded spot just off the trail and made his way over, sitting down in the shade for a moment before lying back, staring up at the sun through the leaves. He then took off the glasses he had worn and tossed them to the side, his tail catching and curling around them. He then winced slightly at the sun, releasing a sigh and tossing an arm over his eyes to shade them. He honestly wouldn't mind taking a quick power nap. This human body wasn't as built for endurance as he was and since he's been in this academy, he has felt tired constantly. But he fought off the urge to close his eyes and sleep for a bit. He didn't trust these people enough to let his guard down like that anyway. Especially not in a public place like this. Not to mention he could already make out footsteps approaching with his enhanced hearing. He groaned slightly as he continued to listen, hoping they'd pass by without a word.
He didn't even think to hide his tail which continued to loosely swing around the pair of glasses in it's grip. But then again, the black lengthy tail could probably come off as a snake if someone wasn't paying too much attention to the details. Whatever happened would happen though and he simply waited, expecting to have his moment alone ruined by someone who wanted to scold him for lying down in the grass and staining his suit.

Aria had been at the academy for three years now and it was the best decision she had ever made, no thanks to a dear friend who got her out of her depressed mood. Leaving from the main building after helping a girl who was new get to administration, Aria decided to head out and take a walk. She didn't have a master yet to call her own but she tended to a few here and there. Along with a few of the mistresses, sometimes things got a little out of hand if the newbies did something wrong but she was always there to help and calm things down. Glancing up to the sky with a smile then looking over to one of the trails which led further up to other parts of the campus, she decided to head that way. Walking up some stairs and glancing around she could see there was barely anyone out here, no doubt still taking classes or just relaxing in their dorms. Some of the rich she could really care less for but then again the role of a maid was you had to smile and keep a good attitude around you.
Tucking some of her long orange hair behind her ear, she walked silently along the trail just taking in the peace and quiet. When she had a free moment in the day or when she got time off from the academy, that was her time to go home and visit her father. Ever since her mother died it was hard to keep money coming in and this is why she hoped that a master would accept her soon so she could help her father out. The maids that already has masters got paid from their masters and yet here she was still without a dime, lucky for her she had some savings that she kept for a rainy day and had even thought about doing a part-time job in town. She had enough to get her by and that's all that mattered to her and the last time she spoke to her father he was thinking of getting into a higher paying job. If he succeeded he would phone her with her good news. Yet there were no messages on her cell phone or anything saying he got a better job.
As she continued down the trail lost in thought, she almost walked right pass the boy under the shaded spot. Aria only walked a few more feet until she stopped and slowly glanced off the trail, her eyes falling on the boy who was sitting there. She didn't approach him right away and just seemed to stand there for a good five minutes. Finally her feet moved off the trail and over to the shaded spot, stopping only when she was mere inches from him. Well just by looking at him she would have to guess he was a butler or one in training since he didn't wear anything fancy or look like he came from a rich family. Blinking and doing a double take she noticed the glasses being swung around, but was that......a...a TAIL! Aria had heard there were some of those here who weren't human, but she never had the chance to run into one till now. Quickly turning her gaze back to the boy and clearing her throat, trying to get his attention.

Tamotsu didn't even bother to look to see who it was approaching, simply relying on his other senses to determine who it was and whether or not they would pass by him indifferently or try to stop and chat with him. He hoped he wouldn't have to deal with the later option. Most people here were too snobby for his tastes and he didn't feel like being talked down to. He didn't think his temper would be able to handle it. But at the same time, he wouldn't mind some form of company. He supposed his host was getting to him and making him feel lonely, an emotion he certainly wasn't used to. He doubted any company around here would be good though and simply shrugged off that hopeful thought for now and closed his eyes as he tried to relax.
Her steps were evenly paced. Poised and graceful by the sound of it as she seemed light on her feet. He could catch a faint smell of perfume, the scent somewhat sweet but nothing strong and expensive like a mistress would wear. And by the sounds of it, she was alone, crossing out the thought that this person could be from outside the academy since she would certainly have been accompanied by someone to guide her around or at least to chat with. Why else would a mere visitor be alone? So he came to the conclusion she was a maid. Whether she would annoy him or not, he was unsure and he simply listened as she finally approached and continue past a few feet. Then everything when silent. He frowned at the thought, her scent still lingering strong enough to tell him she was still there. And sadly, he was starting to get impatient, wanting to look but too stubborn to give her any attention. So instead, he let his restlessness show through his tail which began to become a bit more lively as it tossed his glasses about. He was starting to wish she'd just do something. He didn't like waiting like this.
Finally she broke the silence a bit, clearing her throat and obviously calling for his attention. He scowled at the thought, hesitating for a minute before reluctantly sitting up and looking over to her with his bright blue eyes, a brow quirked in a questioning manner as he waited for her to explain why she felt like interrupting him like this. Then he noticed his tail still wagging next to him, forcing himself to drop the glasses and his tail to retreat behind him out of her view before he reached over and grabbed the glasses, putting them on. They weren't really needed. He had the best vision anyone would love to have. They were more for show really and made him look a bit more professional. A gift from his 'guardian' since she said he needed some help in getting through this academy by looking somewhat smarter and someone a master or mistress would actually consider serving them. He rolled his eyes at the thought, continuing to look at her with an unamused expression. "Can I help you?" he asked, his voice actually sounding a bit more genuine like he actually was interested in helping her out despite the contradicting expression on his face.
At least he tried to fit the role of a butler towards her? Not really. He was just so used to talking like that to everyone here that it became sort of second nature to him. He still couldn't get pass the attitude though. No that would take a lot more work. But what can you expect from someone who doesn't want to be here?

She wasn't really expecting to see anyone else out on the grounds to say the truth, mostly because she thought alot of the boys and girls were still in classes. So when she came upon the boy just a little off the trail is surprised her. And now that she thought about it these grounds were huge, so just because she was out in there paticular area didn't mean that there weren't other butlers and maids enjoying the rest of the day. Some probably with their masters and mistresses......heh some were just that luck she guessed. After all she's been here 3 years and so far no one has come forth to ask her to be their maid. But back to the person she was looking at, making her way over she just looked at him. Until the glasses caught her eye, and the tail....TAIL. Sometimes she pretended not to look or even pay attention. But there were a few in this academy that were....how do you say it? Strange. Aria knew it was rude to stare but this guy a tail and he was swishing it around without a care in the world. Demons had tails right, so this meant this guy was a demon. Oh geez what if he tried to take her soul or something, who would even let a demon be at this academy. Only when she cleared her throat did he actually speak.
"Oh s....sorry, I was just passing by and saw you. I didn't mean to....". She didn't mean to stare, yeah right. This guy had a freaking tail. He was a demon alright and she continued to look at him it also seemed to dawn on her that he wasn't wearing the fancy clothes or was stuck up. Was he a butler then or did he just happen to wander on the campus from the outside. Because Aria was usually good at memorizing people's faces and this was the first time she had actually seen this boy. "My name is Aria Itsuki, i'm a maid here. And you?" She hoped that wasn't too straight forward and rude, but since this was her first time seeing this boy she wanted to get to know him a little more. Even if he did have a tail...and was a demon.
Was it a little freaky, well yeah it was. Aria was so used to seeing the humans walk around the academy and not demons. "I didn't mean to stare before, it's just i've never seen someone with a tail that's all". She hoped she wasn't making him feel awkward in any way or uncomfortable. And she didn't sit down incase he didn't want her company, so all she could do was wait to see if he would answer her questions or tell her to just.....bug off. She didn't really mind on how this went and would respect his wishes if he told her to bug off or whatnot. Of course she really wanted to meet alot more of the butlers since she rarely got to talk to many of them.

The demon only continued to wait, resting his chin on his palm as he looked over her now, blue eyes scanning her every detail and trying to determine whether she would be of any danger or possibly of any use. Yes, he couldn't ignore his demonic side for long. He just had those sudden urges to make deals and steal souls or more commonly as of late, simply make mortals his pawns. Of course in his current state, it was hard to really intimidate, let alone get anyone to make any deals with him. He just had to find a body like this. It was the only one that would hold his power though so he couldn't really complain. His tail behind him continued to wag, still feeling rather restless as he wondered what she wanted. He only hoped she hadn't noticed his tail. He had been working very hard to keep his identity hidden here. Last thing he needed was for her to ruin it.
His pointed ears twitched slightly at her words, still staring at her with an expression that seemed totally indifferent to her presence. His expression turned to confusion though when she trailed off and he couldn't help but tilt his head to the side slightly, looking like a confused animal. Sorry for what? Bothering him? Interrupting him and his alone time? Staring at him? His eyes narrowed slightly at that last idea. She was staring and he wasn't really enjoying the attention. It made him nervous. Another emotion he unfortunately picked up with his time here in the human world. But finally she introduced herself and he was a little shocked. This would honestly be the first time someone approached him like this. He was definitely caught off guard. "Uh... Tamotsu. Tamotsu Daishi. I'm a butler." he replied, deciding to humor her. She managed to catch his interest a bit. He was wondering how far he could take this. He wouldn't mind a bit of fun for once in this place.
His previous hopes that his tail wasn't spotted was shattered at her next words and he rolled his eyes and released a sigh. "Guess the cat's out of the bag." he shrugged, deciding to let his tail go back out into the open, dropping it to the ground again and continuously curling and uncurling the appendage of his as he scratched the back of his head. "I'll ignore your staring for now. But really, you would think a maid would know better than to be so rude." he chuckled, his tail wagging a bit as he smirked, flashing off his sharp fangs. "But for the sake of not letting the whole school know, how about we keep this little detail a secret?" he offered, though it honestly sounded more like a threat than anything. He could be a nice guy. But if his secret was threatened he wasn't afraid to take care of the problem. Though he hoped she'd just comply. He wasn't in the mood to clean up his mess today. "Not everyone is appreciative of the whole demon thing you know." he added. Not that he cared. He wouldn't mind getting kicked out of here. But he didn't know what the threats would be for being kicked out. He knew if he tried to leave he'd be exorcised and he wasn't quite ready to return to hell just yet.

He wasn't doing a very good job on hiding his tail, she could see it as clear as day just wagging behind him. If one didn't look close enough or had stayed on the trail, then they would think this guy was a normal person. But no she just had to stop and come over, the thing is she was frightened to even see someone with a tail. I mean you only ever read about demons and stuff in books but then again at some shrines they do have talismans and charms to ward off evil spirits. And was she willing to look pass this strange demon's tail and talk to him normally like a regular person, eh.....perhaps after she let's the shock pass through her system. And this guy had nothing to worry about she would keep his secret even if it was kind of freaky. Feeling her hair fall over her ear again she quickly tucked it back behind her ear, now her nerves were getting a little shaken.
Aria tried to apologize for being a bother, no wait....for staring at him. No no that wasn't it, or maybe it was both. She kind of trailed off and didn't finish what she was going to say, just great now he probably thought she was really being bothersome. And being her she usually wasn't this way towards people, she greeted people with a smile and wave most of the time. So instead of standing there being awkward she finally introduced herself. Waiting for him to tell her his name she bit her bottom lip hoping he wouldn't tell her to just bug off. But he didn't, and smiled when he told her his name. "Tamotsu, nice to meet you. So your a butler, do you have a mistress to serve yet?" She quickly put a hand over her mouth, maybe that question was going too far. But then again she didn't have a master and she's been here for three years already. Moving her hand away from her mouth she put it back to her side.
When he mentioned the cat was out of the bag, she glanced over to see his tail once again. And since Aria was paying more attention to Tamotsu she hadn't noticed him even put his tail away. She then looked back at him and waved her hands quickly in front of her stepping back. "No no wait, I promise not to tell anyone what I saw". She wasn't the type of person to snitch to people or tell someone's secret, it just wasn't her style. The next thing he said made her frown though and her hands were by her side again, rude.....he thought she was being rude by staring. It was more of a curious notion actually. "I was not being rude I was just curious is all, there's a difference". And she knew not everyone would be so welcoming about the demon thing, so she was just going to be a good girl and keep her mouth shut.
